BHP BILLITON GO WITH H & B MINING – AGAIN!

Stage 2 is at last underway at Jimblebar iron-ore mine in the Pilbara of Western Australia! H & B were nominated by BHP Billiton as the preferred client for the design and supply of the carry-belt diversion plough for conveyor CV002.

BHP Billiton’s Jimblebar Stage 1 recognised H & B Mining’s vast experience in this specialised area by choosing H & B to design and supply two conveyor diversion ploughs for the first stage of the Jimblebar project.

H & B Mining were instrumental in the design and supply of the first ever carry-belt diversion plough of its kind which was installed at Granny Smith gold mine, 20km south of Laverton – Western Australia, in 1995. In years since, H & B Mining have refined and streamlined the conveyor diversion plough design which can now be offered with a manually, hydraulically or electrically operated system.

Design for the Jimblebar Stage 2 conveyor diversion plough is already underway and fabrication is expected to begin in January 2016. It’s a double barrelled thank you from BHP Billiton to H & B Mining; acknowledging our good work and rewarding us with more! said delighted H & B manager, Eddy Hodgkinson.
